LAKE SIBAYA

Lake Sibaya – Is the largest freshwater lake in South Africa once flowed into to the sea, but as a result of gradual changes in sea level it's now a landlocked lake. This clear water lake with white sand is now fed from rain water and an underground stream. There is 18 species of fish that have been recorded in the lake and 5 of those have marine origins. This is bird lover's paradise there is more than 280 birds species including many red data birds, there is also large numbers of some crocodile's and hippo's. The lake is 15km north from Mbazwane and it is possible to go there with no other than by a 4x4 or Quad Bikes up to the reserve's gate, Remember no Swimming hippo's and crocodile's awaits you.

THEMBE ELEPHANT PARK

With more than 200 species indigenous elephants, is the park also the most unspoiled Big 5-reserve in the world and over 340 bird species this park is a bird paradise. Thembe also provides Day & Night game drives and guide walks through the wild. Thembe's Majesty has a wide variety of wild animals.
