The bay of Sodwana is protected from southerly storms by a big rocky out-crop called Jesser Point.
Sodwana Bay is the only beach known for it’s 4x4 drive on the beach and you can have a permit for a day at the cost of R 400.00 to go further along the beach for 10km. Over 1250 fish species have been spotted in the coastal water around Sodwana Bay. Dolphin spotting can also be seen as well as turtles drives (November).
Sodwana is also popular for their Game Fishing Competitions were they tag & release or catch Blue Marlin or other game fish.
How to get to SODWANA BAY - Travel on the N2 and turn off at the town Hluhluwe. Follow the clear signboards provided tar road to Sodwana Bay (92Km)
